Phase IV: Closing Out the Estate
This is your opportunity to make sure the torch is burning brightly when the time comes to hand it off to the future. The Homefront Security portion Phases I through III of this Planner provides the security of knowing you have documented information to keep the Homefront running in your absence. Phase IV, "Closing Out the Estate", addresses the implementation of your Legacy Planning and ensures a smooth transition of the information necessary to pass your legacy on to the future. By doing so, you will keep the flame burning brightly for the future.
While reading Phase IV, you will learn the steps for closing out an estate and will realize the importance of identifying the elements of your estate regardless of the size. It is advisable for you to review the information in this section and evaluate the previous planning outlined in Phase I through III. These Phases of the Planner provide a repository with the critical information necessary to allow someone to take over for you. You will be creating a road map for others to follow by clearly defining your direction.
Without proper guidance, the Executor will be left to figure it out on his/her own. After reviewing the information in "Closing Out the Estate", you will be better prepared to discuss specific planning information with your family and friends.
